Product Description
The GL236 UV light is a hospital grade double UV germicidal light system designed for duct mounting in residential HVAC systems. The GL236 uses 2 twin-tube bulbs and effectively reduces airborne viruses, bacteria, mold spores and allergens that pass by it. Compared to the GL136, the GL236 has more UV coverage across the duct width & a/c coil to eliminate organisms in fewer air passes. Effective for any size residence up to a 5 ton system (2000 cfm-24x24 duct area). Efficiently uses only 72W of power and plugs in with a factory supplied 110V cord. Warranty is 5 years on the unit/housing and 1 year on the bulb.
The unit housing is 7-1/4H x 16W x 2 thick. It requires a minimum duct depth of 17 and needs about 20 of clearance on the outside of the duct to insert the lamps into the duct. A minimum duct mounting surface of 7x 14-1/2 is also required. It can be oriented in any position on the duct wall, but its most effective when both bulbs are positioned equal distance away from the blower.
